Where is the best place to Apply For A Loan of approx $8000 if I have previously had a bad credit history?

I previously had bad credit against my name due to 3 things, A loan, a credit card, and a phone bll. The have all now been paid in full but I’m finding it hard to get another loan.

I would start with a credit union if you belong to one. Your employer may have access to a credit union … ask them. If they don’t have a credit union, start a campaign to find one for them because they offer lower interest rates to members and are usually cheaper than banks. Have you gotten a copy of your credit report lately? You are entitled to one FREE. Watch what you sign up for. There are alot of credit report companies out there that want you to sign up for credit report monitoring… this is unneccessary. You have the legal right to a free report from each of the three bureaus: Transunion, Experian and Equifax. There may be some outdated information on your credit reports far worse than the late payments you had. Make sure to keep your bills current and worry about today more than yesterday. Your chances of a loan really depend on your credit to income ratio, history of credit, and many other factors. When you say previously it could be last month, last year or 5 years ago. Your income has alot to do with the amount you want or need and whether it’s a want or need has to do with the chances of a loan. Start with a credit union and then go to whatever avenues you have to go to from there but don’t keep applying and being turned down… find out why with your credit report(s). The more you are turned down and the more inquiries on your credit reports, the lower your score will be.
